Behind the Prints: How Our Summer Designs Come to Life.

Every playful print in our summer range starts with a spark of creativity — and this season’s designs were brought to life by the wonderfully talented Melbourne artist Jacinta Weir from Two Little Ducklings. If you know her work, you’ll spot her whimsical, joy-filled style right away — it shines through in every Acorn hat.

It all begins with a brainstorming session between our founder Fiona and Jacinta. They throw around ideas (lots of them!), from Aussie beach days and backyard fun ~ all the things that make summer feel so special. Once the ideas start flowing, Jacinta gets to work sketching — turning those early thoughts into beautiful hand-drawn designs.

Next, Jacinta brings her artwork to life digitally — transferring her sketches onto her iPad to refine the details and create the repeat patterns that make each print come alive on fabric.

And then comes the really fun part — colour time! Together, Fiona and Jacinta play with different colour palettes until everything feels just right. Think sun-soaked yellows, ocean blues, soft pastels and sweet berry tones — all the hues that capture the feeling of summer.

The end result? A collection that’s full of fun, imagination and that special Acorn magic — made to bring smiles to little faces all season long.
